Color Enhancement

On the right hand command column, open “satellite” and choose “Color”. The system adds a 16 color scale to the original black/white image in order to increase the contrast in a specific image area which can be applied to any or all of the images present with individualized parameters.

There are 20 different color palettes memorized in the system (numbered from 1 to 20) which can be
selected by clicking the button “Palette Colors” and selecting one of the palettes.

It is possible to assign a name to each palette to permit easy identification when exchanging data with other
users. Color sequences can also be customized to accomplish users’ requirements and address specific needs.
This function is obtained by pressing the “Change colors” button and selecting each of the 16 colors for the
palette from the Basic colors list, or from the full color space on the right.

An interpolation function which automatically generates a color sequence by selecting the first and the last color of the sequence and then pressing the “Interpolate” button is also available. Upon palette selection, it is possible to assign colors to a specific area of the black/white scale. By moving the end-cursors on the scale, you define the range of gray levels from which you wish to apply a color enhancement. To move the range within the scale drag the center cursor to the desired position.
